Focused on helping rather than correcting.
Respectful
Recognising that people are entitled to make their own decisions.
Positive
Emphasising safer choices rather than punishment.
Human
Real conversations are always more effective than rehearsed speeches.
Remember: people rarely respond well to being lectured. People are far more likely to engage when they feel respected.
